I think what he meant by that was if we could give him 22, he’d love to have 22 to air whenever he wanted, but it was our understanding there was no more time to run BONES episodes this season. Because what will be our episode 13 will [air] in May. So unless they’re planning on running all through the summer…” “It’s up in the air,” he continued. “I guess from his standpoint, what if a show goes down? They can throw BONES in for as many episodes as we have. And those are the things we’re working out now.” And while many fans might be delighted at the prospect of additional episodes, those extra hours could pose a problem for the creative team. “The only difficulty we have is we have to end where we end [in episode 13] because of the nature of the finale, which is going to be big.” Nathan teased. “It will affect the series in a big way.” Very interesting. It sounds to me that they are still struggling to figure out how the 4 additional episodes ordered a couple of months ago are going to integrate into the rest of the season, if they are needed before May. That must really give everyone in the writers' room a terrible headache. Carla isn't even sure that Pelant's episode 13 will air as the de facto last episode of the season. I feel for them. Hopefully it will all work out fine.

Freshman Posts: 65 Jan 10 12 8:26 PM	I'm really curious what the season ender is going to be... I'm thinking maybe this new bad guy put Booth and/or Brennan's job in jepordy? Maybe they get fired? Framed for a crime? Split up? I could also see maybe one of them being kidnapped... but then they already sort of did that with the gravedigger storyline... OR maybe David will finally get his wish and the lab will be destroyed?? I can't see something leading to a B&B break up. I think they're pretty solid... and that would be a too predictable of a route to go... thoughts?

I'm really intrigued by the hints we're getting - that the next serial killer ep is the finale, that that brings about a real change for the show, that the baby really does affect their work...I'm wondering if all those bits and pieces come together in some fashion in the finale. "There are those who think that I'm strange; they would box me up and tell me to change. But you hold me close and softly say that you wouldn't have me any other way."

I'm really intrigued by the hints we're getting - that the next serial killer ep is the finale, that that brings about a real change for the show, that the baby really does affect their work...I'm wondering if all those bits and pieces come together in some fashion in the finale. i know my comment about the import of fundamental change was not taken seriously--but as info seeps out--the word has meaning. what is interesting is Reilly wants more eps but HH/SN still don't know what that means. clearly, this arc is cemented for them and they know how they want the season to end.....and for next season to begin. One could see a few 'stand alone'eps in between. As I noted a while ago and as SN mused--FOX may want some eps to fill in if things don't work out elsewhere...hough....nice to think about a next season isn't it? As a total aside--after watching NCIS and CASTLE this week--seeing the sweet yet very pedestrian and predictable way those will they/won't they couples are playing out--makes HH look smarter and braver than most.
